You certainly play it quite a bit Grant, i have put it in my play list I have a few of their albums on vinyl, so look forward to hearing this one. By the way I am loving Audirvana/Volumio, I have just tried coax to the SEG from the Digi and this seems to be better, more depth/bass somehow.:)
good.. ive got 2 pi's. one coax out to my dac and other has a dac hat. both are excellent from audirvana.

Newish Canadian band, been around since 2009, retro sounding reminiscent of Iron Maiden/Dokken. This is there new 2018 offering and if you like rock then it’s very good.

I always loved Perfect Circles - Mer De Noms (2000) then after aMotion and eMotive in 2004 they disappeared. Now they release this, and what an absolutely stunning album it is. I’m only halfway through and not a bad track.
It has to be one of the best rock albums of 2018. Even if your not into them you need to listen to this album.

Never heard this Deep Purple album from 2013, it’s pretty good, reminiscent of earlier songs from them. Might have to get on vinyl this one.

This is a must listen album if you were around in the late 70’s early 80’s and never heard them. All of their first three albums are excellent, they should have been big IMO.

I gave this a listen having seen it posted here, I found it quite prophetic and a moving piece, as always Cohen hits the mark with his lyrics.

Some R&B or is it Soul, or Funk, Blood Orange aka Devonté Hynes certainly knows how to be cool. This is his 3rd album to chart on Billboard’s R&B chart, 3 out of 4 isn’t bad.

Very new and good, it’s different and kooky, reminds me of Devo. Burst on the scene Nov 2017 with single “Something for Your M.I.N.D.” Then this in Mar 2018. Band members from all over the world, met on the internet, now based n London.

This one is beautiful, lovely harmonies, layers of guitars, synth, piano and drums, slightly psychedelic, Gwenno’s vocal blends on top of the mix in an ethereal manner. All the songs are in Cornish. I will be listening to her earlier album.

An amazing live recording, very well mixed and great dynamics and I have always liked Iron Butterflyl anyway.

hadn't realised the band were Welsh until the other week, a guy I was working with said that somebody in the band was a Stone Mason now and had repaired his fathers wall.. ( sounds like that thing on Radio 2) :D
I'm sure I must have heard them back in the day on Radio Caroline or whatever it was called at that particular point of time.

Paul "Tonka" Chapman is the one you refer to..
If you dig deep you'll find it was two members, as John Sloman was with UFO for a little while too.
I have both of the Lone Star albums, both LP record and CD, and for me they were one of the best bands that didn't quite make it. Their two albums are great! End of!

Yes, I have the 1st on CD, both are very good. In a way Budgie and Groundhogs were similar, never made it big, but they kept putting albums out, and toured regularly. Budgie - Bandolier is a classic, as is Groundhogs - Split.

Well what do I know! Not a lot apparently. Toy Dolls are still around, touring and releasing albums as I have just been informed by my son. Tidal only have acouple of albums so I will have to look elsewhere for the rest.

Been listening to a lot of Frank Zappa lately Geoff, bit of a genius who carved his own way, which I admire. Shame I didn't really get him in the 70s, too busy listening to Zeppelin, Floyd, Yes, Genesis and ELP. Oh well, better late than never :o

Another favourite of all time, for me one of ELP's best, I was so lucky I picked up a nearly mint copy yesterday for £4.50 and its a first edition, if you have never heard it then you need to give it a go.

3/4 of the way through this classic Mountain live double LP, once again a recent acquisition in near mint condition. There is some extreme bass from organ and bass about 14 minutes into Nantucket Sleighride on side 2 (all 16 minutes take up side 2), side 3 has the final 16 minutes of the song, so some serious heavy prog rock.
