Not everybody's taste but easy to forget what a groundbreaking album this was 42 years ago.

Since last played my system has undergone lots of changes mainly to the cartridge/headamp and boy does it sound good now.

Even if you don't like it it's a stunningly good "test record" for getting the tonal balance and info retrieval as you like it - me? I just love it

Aye, enough of the madness.

A long time ago I worked for Hi-Fi Corner in their Falkirk branch. I started out part-time and, because I was still at school, I only worked Saturday's. The first Hi-fi Corner show I worked was in the Royal Scot Hotel, Edinburgh in 1991.

I was assigned to the Ruark room and I wasn't complaining. All the other rooms were playing the usual suspects. Steely Dan, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd. You know the drill. Well this album I'm listening to now had just been released and I'd brought it with me. I think the speakers were Broadswords and they were being driven by - I think - some kind of Luxman hybrid amps. Anyway, I got my chance and put this album on and that room stayed packed for the duration. All sorts of people - old, young, always male (of course) asked what it was. Heads were bobbing, toes were tapping, everyone was astounded! Even the Linn room, with it's makeshift stream (something to do with negative ions, I kid you not) emptied.

One of the best days of my life. I've no recollection of sales for the gear but I can guarantee that album subsequently sold out everywhere..

Bandcamp has been a revelation for me Rich with loads of 24bit downloads added to my expanding electronic collection... with regards these three Solar Fields releases, both Blue and Green are fantastic... Red will have to wait until tomorrow, otherwise the bass my 4311's are throwing out will thoroughly pi** off my neighbours :) You should be able to listen to various tracks on all three so as to get a taste of what's available...

Probably not very known album out of Turkey. Highly recommended if you like to listen a great piano player- fazıl Say with striking vocals of Serenad Bağcan.
Its available on spotify but ı recommend the LP record.
