Neil Young and Crazy Horse - Psychedelic Pill (Spotify)

Heard the track Ramada Inn last night in a bar in Cephalonia, Greece last evening and all I can say is wow!

Not heard that one before. Wicked stuff, real juicy guitar work. Good enough for me to have just ordered the album! One more to add to my Neil Young collection.

Once he started singing it was then a Google hunt for the lyrics to try and identify it.

Ordered the LP from Amazon USA as it was the cheapest I could find and it should arrive about a week after we arrive home from holiday [emoji4]

This one's hard to beat. Captures Blackmore right on the inflection point from classic British hard rock to polished FM AOR. I seem to have 3 different vinyl and 2 different CD copies, so I guess it must count as a favourite.

So very good in all aspects,I love it.
My old pal n me aged about 15 called Cohen songs music to commit suicide by, same songs but delivered in a magical way by Warnes and recorded perfectly IMHO.

I'm a massive Cohne fan and don't find his songs "music to commit suicide by" at all. Reflective and thoughtful yes, possibly mournful at times, but I agree not a bundle of laughs. Just superb poetry.

And yes, Warne's version is a more than acceptable alternative and a great LP. :)
