This is the most expensive cd I've ever purchased as I had to get it from the US, but then I am a Derrin tart... :)
It's actually not the best Derrin Nauendorf cd I have, that goes to 'Live At The Boardwalk', but it's still pretty good

I've got a PA setup in the living room that I just finished building for someone. I'm definitely annoying the neighbors. Double stacked 15s on each side, with 400 watts class a running to each. I'm putting it through it's paces.

I normally do. My walls are lined floor to ceiling with shelves of vinyl. They actually make good sound deadening. My normal level of loud can't be heard outside. Tonight is an exception. They can probably hear it for two blocks. I had to turn on the AC in February because the amps are throwing so much heat.

In the summer is when I definitely won't want the heat of the 300b either but I will have to put up with it I guess as I love it to bits through the LV's :)

It's an awful record. I'll probably never be able to listen to it again the way the stylus was going back and forth across it. I couldn't see any real gouges though. I force myself to listen to all of the crap I buy at least once.

That cart had a lot of hours on it. I got my money's worth out of it. Two years with as much vinyl as I spin is a pretty long life. Burt was a dollar bin record. No loss there.

The vinyl version is better. I held out on buying it because it was $60, and picked up the CD instead. When I finally shelled out the cash for it I was blown away by the difference. I'm listening to the ripped vinyl right now since I'm at work.

Great album. I was listening to her remastered "Songs from the Trees" collection on Spotify very late the other night. Very good. Though the drums on Anticipation might be a bit too prominent compared to the rather soft original version.

But this music is extraordinary. It's something to do with silence in music. The fact that Rickie Lee Jones and Peter Gabriel champion it is interesting. They had some silence in their music too.
I cannot recommend lying back and listening to The Blue Nile enough. It will take you somewhere else. :)

Used to have a huge blues collection..still got a good few i suppose although ive sold a lot. Country, mississippi, chicago, texas.etc.. anything from albert king to Robert johnston
