Yes it's a belter... I'd been after a decent secondhand copy for ages, then at Christmas I gave up and bought it new. This is its second play, and two very loud pops have appeared on it, that weren't there when I first played it. Can't see anything on the record surface.

A frequent flyer at hifi shows ten years or so ago, because it made any system sound great. They always played "Stimela" but all of it is excellent imo. The most I have ever paid for an album at fifty quid, but then I am a tight wad.

Wasn't expecting much in the way of sound quality, I was wrong. Better than a lot of modern recordings to my ears. And I didn't realise how much of his output I was already familiar with. I already owned the 2nd album, 'A Northern View', and purchased this new release on spec. Just finished listening to it, a seriously good record, beautifully recorded and sounds gorgeous, a laid back and sensuous album IMO. Luckily it is on Qobuz and Spotify so you can ave a listen, but well worth supporting this artist IMO.
