Actually a CD copy a customer made for me this morning. He saw him live a couple of weeks ago, been a lifelong fan. (A couple of years later they were reduced to 10p each but most were scratched to pieces or utter dross.). Good for classic popular 70s and 80s music though.

I likewise purchased my first album with pocket money and Xmas money in Jan 71, it was Moody Blues On the Threshold of a Dream, it gets played at least once a year. I was lucky and saw them live in 86 at Wembley arena, and they were superb, seems they do/did lots of concerts in USA.

Just brilliant. One of my favourite albums, by anyone. Alison's vocals are just sublime. Cinematic sound that makes me think of travelling round the French Riviera in the 60s with Alison in a little sports car. And now that she is back to dating blokes I can dream again :)

This mornings first discs including the remastered Chris Rea The Road To Hell, which is considerably better than the original CD release which is not a poor disc if perhaps a little hard sounding in some places ! We perhaps forget just how great a slide guitarist Chris Rea is.
As for Bruce Hornsby a great introduction to his work, with of course the superlative TheWay It Is and Mandolin Rain.

Love this album, gets played quite a lot. Sharon Robinson's vocals on "Boogie Street" just brilliant. Off the back of that I sought and bought a Sharon Robinson album. Bit disappointing really, but I'll give it another go before consigning it to the 'never again' pile.

Was playing this one the other day, like it a lot. As did Mrs. P. She used to hate Kate, but I've converted her. So the next morning, at 7.30am, I was playing "The Red Shoes", but I was told it was too early for that voice and she accused me of trying to ruin Kate Bush for her. Women, eh?
Kate is one thing I'm safe to pull out for a listen (unlike a lot of my stuff as far as my wife is concerned). I think this one must have been hers as I wasn't so familiar with it as the previous ones. Good album though. Looking forward to the Red Shoes, there might be a few others inbetween though.

Picked up a minty copy (and it should be for 25 quid!) of this from a record shop in Poole yesterday. Never heard it, just thought I'd give it a go. Won't get to play it till tomorrow though.

AS you can guess these Canadian rockers are one of my favourites ! There are some of their albums which are not on my frequently played list but this one is a firm favourite and demonstrates the incredible musicianship of Lifeson, Peart and Lee along with great lyrics and production. Other favourites include Clockwork Angels, Counterparts, A Farewell To Kings, 2112, Hemispheres and of course Moving Pictures and on a slightly different vibe, Signals, Power Windows and Grace Under Pressure.
