Maybe, but I'll bet we'll hear of it being contemplated.

Yes, was watching CNN the other day and they had some hysterical woman on who stopped just short of demanding that Trump be dragged out of the White House and shot in the street.

I didn't watch the whole interview, she was just too shrill.

Best way to deal with someone's untidiness is to close the door and forget about it. You should already know this, unless you are either a newlywed or a really slow learner :ner:

Lol - in many ways Del's just like a teenager! Therefore, I may bow to your experience and (reluctantly) take your advice.

The thing is, if it's like this now, during lockdown, without having had her pals round [and just HOW much that's pissing her off, you've *no* idea], so what's it going to be like when she has the chance to invite 3 or 4 girlies round for a 'sleepover party'?

i doubt she will ever be as perfect as you:ner: but if you nag and annoy anyone/thing, they will be inclined to just continue the bad habit. or be worse as its a bit of payback...

Unsurprisingly, as a Portsmouth Man, I used to be tour guide on H.M.S. Victory.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Trafalgar

29-0 to the English in 1805 against the combined French and Spanish fleet. Good result. :)

All went horribly wrong subsequently. Awful storm blew up later and killed nearly everybody.

The man who came out of it with credit was not Lord Nelson. It was a Frenchman, Captain Lucas of the Redoutable. Suffered from Captaining a 3 decker against the 3.5 deckers of the Victory and the Temeraire. A close run thing.

https://www.napoleon.org/en/history-of-the-two-empires/articles/captain-lucass-report-concerning-the-loss-of-the-vessel-redoutable-at-the-battle-of-trafalgar/

He was always welcomed in England. A True Hero.

Ha - it's not dirt or dust that's the problem (heaven forbid), simply an untidy little madam who can't put her tights, bras and knickers away where they're supposed to go! Oh and her shoes, as even though she now has dedicated racks for them, they're abandoned simply wherever they've been removed... The rest, her actual clothes, are ok, so different rules must apply there:hmm:

Therefore, just 'superficial mess', but annoying mess nevertheless. Anyway, we'll see whether ignoring the situation helps or not!

Who can tell how a woman's mind works? When Jack Nicholson was asked (in "As Good as it Gets" about his novels from a female perspective, how he managed to think like a woman, he replied "I think of a man, then take away reason and accountability".

Guy's girls are in their 20's, mine are now in their 30's  and whenever I visit them, their homes look like a church hall at the end of the annual jumble sale. So not necessarily a teenage thing.

And yes that could certainly work with any of her heels (left upright) if I trod on one barefoot, and 'accidentally' snapped the heel off... I can just imagine her reaction!!!:wah: I think you'd probably hear the screams from Hampshire:D

The biggest problem though is tights, especially as it's winter and she wears them nearly every day.

When she tries a pair on with a skirt or dress and decides that they're not quite the right shade, or horror of horror, there's a run in them, instead of either chucking them away or folding them back neatly where they go (she's got drawers with separate little boxes/dividers, where all her socks, tights and knickers are supposed to be stored neatly in colour order), they're just abandoned either on the floor or on the bed, often scrunched up in balls...

Then she moans when she can't find anything - and asks me if I've seen it!! Can't win, mate... I think Geoff's got the right idea, I could always burn all her tights and force her to go barelegged - now *THAT* would teach her!!;)

Lol - no I think it's a girly thing, rather than teenage. Del's in her early forties (although she looks and sounds younger), but has been the same, in that respect, since I've known her. I think the biggest problem is she's become too accustomed to me tidying up after her, and now considers that as the norm.

Lol - honestly, it was HER idea to have the facility to do that, and one of the reasons why she *wanted* a separate dressing room, not just for privacy, but so she had more room to store and properly arrange her stuff, particularly to help her get ready for work quickly on dark winter mornings.

Therefore, the idea was for things she uses daily, such as underwear, to be easily accessible (colour and style order), so she could throw things on quickly if she slept in, without having to search for stuff... However, it seems to be a case of 'best laid plans', as I think she's decided it's just too much effort!:D

I'm with Del. I arrange my shirts in order of colour, from white through to black with a graduation via grey, blue, green, pink and purple.

I don't care if people think I have OCD - I know I do. For example when I put a CD back in its case, I always rotate the disc so the lettering is aligned with the top edge. I would do it with vinyl records but that is more difficult to do.

I also arrange all tins, jars and bottles so the labels are at the front; not only those in the kitchen but in the bathroom as well. :D

it was a really a punishment. you had to paint anything black, white... then next guy on jankers got to scrub it all off and back to black... when challenged the army said it was an anti theft thing.

That last bit isn't OCD, it's just good sense. As for the thing with the CDs, well how to describe that? The word 'mental' is such a blunt tool, so I'll go with quirky :ner:

Quite right, Barry. Tidy and organised is the one:thumbsup: OCD is rather different, though. I'm not OCD, and I don't think Del really is, but in certain circumstances she likes everything in its right place (such as anything to do with the kitchen or cooking), but clothes, nah!

Or rather I should say, she *purports* to want to have things tidy and in their place, but when it comes down to it, just doesn't quite happen:D

None whatsoever and it didn't even look real, too small. You'd think a Dutch cop would know that as they all carry weapons.

Of course arriving back in the UK there was no customs check at all, just get off the plane, walk down a corridor and you're out on the street.

Apparently they are banning POAO (products of animal origin) in sandwiches, so cheese is also a "no no" - one of the customs blokes said something about "welcome to post Brexit" when the ham sandwich was confiscated. Wouldn't even let the driver keep the bread as it had been in contact with, and contaminated by, a POAO (also the butter to think about here ).

This got me thinking about what else could be put in a sandwich? Tuna possibly, or would that be in breach of the new fishing agreement?

Now is the time to fully reveal the T shirt I wore to the Penkridge bake off. Those who were there will have seen it as will those that attended the following Kegworth event.

However I have expanded my repertoire from loud trousers now I have found something equally colourful:

The colour choice is described as 'rainbow', right up my street:

I don't know what a zoomer looks like - but with clippers you can attach a variety of guides so you can cut it as short or as long as you like. It's not a choice of a number one or nothing.

I understand some still prefer to go to the barber but right now with the barber closed that's not an option. And cutting it yourself with clippers looks a lot tidier than just letting it grow wild.

Another worthy recommendation imo is "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" if you haven't already seen it. Made early 70's, has great story and terrific cast (Clint Eastwood, Geoff Bridges, George Kennedy). One of my all-time favourites :)

yes, another top film.

One of my old man's pals was the spitting image of George Kennedy.

Well the look on her face suggests she hasn't passed one for some time. So if by "bathroom frolics" you mean raking her out with a loofah, I'm sure she'd go for that :)

Hahaha... I'll try that one to close the deal!

Clearly though, you and I have very different tastes in women, as for me she has a gorgeous, model-like face (great skin and bone structure), and rather beautiful:)

I hate women who look 'hard', or as if they could drink more beer than me or potentially beat me at arm-wrestling. Petite, delicate and girly, with a cheeky penchant for naughtiness, always wins - you can keep yer shot-put throwers with more facial hair than Santa!:ner:

Thanks, yeah I've seen that one, but only once. Good film:)

Yeah, we don't have different tastes, it's just that my tastes extend to attractive women of all types, whereas your taste is very specific. I mean, that the woman needs to be brunette, well what can I say? My youngest brother (51) is similarly picky, even down to something as unimportant as hair colour, and he is still single. You can count yourself lucky that you weren't forced to broaden your tastes to avoid a similar fate :)

And I'm not keen on hairy birds either, but I'm certainly not intimidated by women who 'look hard' :ner: The 'girly' girls are too much like my daughters and their friends, and that's wrong in all kinds of ways. maybe if I was single...

But I might make an exception for Jenna Coleman ;)

Lol - defo not intimidated by, but rather instead (deeply) unattracted to. I just don't dig butch women, so never dated them when I was single. Also small women tend to be attracted to bigger blokes, and vice versa.

Again, I find really tall women (without heels), around my height, a bit of a turn off, so with Del only being 5ft 2, plus ticking all the other boxes, including having rather lovely, thick waist length brown hair, it was a natural fit:) Had I not been so lucky though in that respect, I'd have widened the field.

TBH, and I'm not intending to brag here, but I've never had a problem attracting or befriending women, not because I'm particularly handsome, but because I generally know how to get on with/treat them/make them feel at ease (a bit of Italian charm can also go a long way;)), and I'm not short on confidence either, (have you noticed)?:eyebrows: Things many women find attractive.

Essentially, I've always felt comfortable in the company of women, and they me. Therefore, I don't think I'd have struggled.

Plus, I didn't say that I didn't like blondes (or even redheads, some of whom can look stunning), simply that I preferred brunettes, and so am naturally drawn to them. Therefore, if I hadn't met Del, and found a blonde or a redhead instead, and we both clicked, then that would've been cool.

Lastly, let's not forget that the discussion isn't about whom you'd choose as a partner, but rather which women you just find attractive in some way - the two are very different things, so different rules apply (which is why I'm being more fussy and choosing women younger than me), as I'd have no more chance of pulling Jenna Coleman, than you!:D

Another girly who ticks the right boxes for me is Audrey Tautou:

Indeed mate, as is the slightly 'coy' look, but really only when SHE wants you to think that, in order to get her own way... I find that incredibly alluring and cute. Anyway, I can always rely on you for good taste... Mind you, I'm not exactly 'slumming it' with Del, am I?;)

Audrey Tautou is best known for her role in the award-winning French film, Amélie. She was much younger then, though.

Reminds me of that Anna Friel from Brooky. Well, when she s was a bit younger anyway.

Indeed, Brian, and of course there are better pictures of her. That was just one of the first ones I found:)

Piggurs is obviously even fussier than me, if he rules women out simply because of a slightly unfortunate facial expression in a random photo!:ner:;)

The best film starring Audrey Tautou was ‘Priceless’, also starring Gad Elmaleh. Hilarious, superbly written, perfectly timed and a great pair of characters.

She looked absolutely scrummy too.

Indeed, how anyone could say she isn't scrummy is beyond me, especially in the second pic:

Typical Marco, always thinking about food :D

Yeah, pic 2 is nice, she is pretty, great if you prefer someone who hasn't been run in yet, but my preference is for one with a few more miles on the clock. What can I say? We like what we like :)

She is like a brand new Ferrari, fresh out of the showroom. I'd rather have a Shelby Mustang myself.

Oh and don't write off your prospects with Jenna Coleman - if anything bad happened to me you could be her fall back guy...
