But the dénouement of the final episode where they returned to Earth was very clever. ;)

dont think i saw last 2 eps of season 12... it was so bad i deleted the whole series. all the other have varied but bbeen decent to very good. season 11 was probably the best.

I think it's more stressful for the make-up artists.

Been watching 'The Orville' - Seth McFarlane's Star Trek parody/homage. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Orville

You'd think it would be all laughs but it isn't, mostly it takes itself quite seriously. It's neither fish nor fowl really, which is at least different. Been renewed for a second season.

Beyond Skyline (BluRay)

Horrible title, but accurate as to what this film is a follow up to the SciFi film Skyline. Not as good as the original, but close to it in quality, and enjoyable. At least now I know what happened at the end of the first film, and those characters fates.

Shin Godzilla (BluRay)

Awful, poor effects, boring story. The American Godzilla of a few years ago, flawed as it was, is a much better film.

It doesn't pretend to take itself seriously though whereas Commando does. In other words it is meant to be a comedy whereas Commando pretends it is not a comedy even though it is and everyone knows it. There's a fine line but it makes all the difference.

Watched “Look Who’s Back” on Netflix last night.
Terrific movie, very funny yet dark with a serious message.
you should watch this.

Adolf Hitler wakes up in Germany 70 years after the war in modern Germany, people think he’s a method actor.
TV crew catches up with him and make a programme about him, out mixing with the people, doing tv show appearances etc.
Think Borat style comedy, at least for parts of the movie.

What?!

A comedy about Hitler?
Not really, though its very very funny in parts.
In one scene He gets beaten up by Neo Nazis...for impersonating Hitler.

Then theres this...

https://youtu.be/NJt77kaY8EY

Satire?
...maybe?

Social commentry?
Yeah, worryingly so.

The only good thing about Tom Brown's Schooldays is that it spawned the 'Flashman' novels. Even the later, shit ones are a better read than TBS. There's a modern film of TBS too which is also poor. Although to be fair the one Flashman film they did is quite poor too.

How does that bit go? 'At the railroad station there are three dusters. Inside the three dusters are three men. Inside the three men are three bullets.'

Bronson's finest hour, no doubt. Although 'Mr Majestic' is bloody good too.

Yup pretty much word for word I think. Ideal role again for chuck as the lines for him are limited.

The super close ups were even better in hd and the darbee processing

My Restored bluray of The African Queen(1951). Stunning picture and a superb film for its day.

Think Bogart and Huston the director, were the only 2 not to get sick on location due to them only drinking whisky... how they ever managed to make a film ........lol

Film above. The Thing was watchable and ok. It was kinda mixed up and didn't know if it was a prequel or a remake tho. Special effects were good

Now.

Some like it hot from 1959, and set 30 years earlier. Hope they never remake it

Some classic films there, Grant. I once went to the hotel they use in 'Some Like It Hot'. In the film they are supposed to be in Florida but the hotel is actually on an island off San Diego.

I'm just watching 'Battle Stations' 1956 on movies4men. It's a fairly rubbish film, but it stars William Bendix. One of my all time favourite actors, always worth watching.

I'm watching 'Rocky Mountain Railroad' documentary on Quest. It's not bad. Just as well, as there's bugger all else on that I'd watch. :)

I may give up and just go and do a bit more decorating.
