It's actually acrylic so the scratches could be polished out but it's not a watch I'd wear, just a mathom from the time closet.

do like a divers watch , these are very robust and use a Seiko movement and has a proper screw down crown , although they wear a bit big as meant to be worn over a diving suit

It's a while since I've done a 'stock take' Barry and the figure is somewhat of a movable feast as I do move some on (perhaps not as many as I buy) but it's a little over 200 at the moment I would say.

It had quite a stiff rubber ND Limits strap out of the box which eventually cracked. The yellow one is a nice comfortable Archer strap and I was able to swap in the fittings off the original strap. It's quick release should I be in a more sober mood but I think it suits the watch well.

well in a kinda roundabout way i bought a solitaire diamond that I had made into a ring that my partner always dreamed about, she deserves the best especially for putting up with me ha ha , got to give some back to those that matter , it makes me happy to see her happy and it also means I’m kinda engaged again ……you would of thought i should of learnt the first time around :lol: it did involve another watch though as part of the deal :eyebrows:

I tried a Parnis GMT just like the above, but it was a fraction of a degree off when centred so I had to sell it on, never again.

He waved his hand every second. By the time the plane landed at Heathrow it had stopped working and a hand (not Mao's) had dropped off.

The stretch French Zulus are very nice and plenty big even without watch they fit.
The Barton leather ones from the states are gorgeous things. Fab work..too good maybe for most of my watches lol.

Another strap in. This is from Mayerhofer in Germany.
It's magnetic fastening foil plus quick connect. Rather nice it is once you get head round the no fastener bit that I have to say made me think they had sent a pup.

Visited a boot-sale today, and was surprised to find two sellers selling very good fake Rolex watches. Good in the sense that the dials looked genuine and the second sweep hand did 5 ticks per second, as well as the presentation case looking exactly like the green Rolex case. Visited a boot-sale today, and was surprised to find two sellers selling very good fake Rolex watches. Good in the sense that the dials looked genuine and the second sweep hand did 5 ticks per second, as well as the presentation case looking exactly like the green Rolex case. No I didn't. I already have one (genuine) Rolex watch which I have worn near constantly for the last fifty years.
It has been all over the world with me; suffering temperatures of between -20C to +45C. The only time I remove it is when I shower (ironically, since it is a waterproof watch), have it serviced (once every ten or so years) and on therare occasion when I put on a dinner suit and a stainless steel watch and bracelet looks inappropriate. Oh, and the one and only other time I removed it was when I was in Yemen, where it would have been an embarassing show of ostentation, possibly making me a target.
