Managed to snag one of these before they sold out..unbelievable value...at 13 quid, new posted to your front door....big numerals and pointers, white on black easy for me to read..good lume and the even the bezel rotates...100 mtrs water resist..:lol:...

It is, a 'Scuba Dude' I think they're known as? To be honest it's a bit crap, bezel moves both ways and construction could best be described as 'tinny'. Keeps reasonable time though and replacing the laughable very hard black plastic strap with an after market bracelet has improved the looks and wearability.

With thanks to Roy S for his opinion, I bought this little watch with a supposedly 1000m water proof depth!
It’s quartz as I couldn’t be bothered to go through the wear it or wind it malarkey, plus it’s far more accurate than any Rolex I’ve ever owned, and that’s a few!

They were selling for a very modest £76, but somehow I chose the wrong postage method and ended up paying £97 because of added taxes etc.

Slim and light and clean and crisp. ideal for wearing on the Cross trainer. Lovely!

My Gruen dress watch with the sunburst dial. These are quite rare now. This one is in good nick although dial could do with a dust inside. Not by me tho lol.
It also has fancy lugs although not sure what they are called now.

Best thing is that it's still very easy to read the time; the hands aren't lost in the quagmire of info. Some watches are disastrous for that, as if the designer has forgotten the primary purpose.

that is amazing...the watch is in a disgraceful state...who lets a Rolex get like that?....filthy dirty rotten....the watch looks new when they have finished with it...I'm sceptical it is the same watch..If it is..I wonder how much that cost...

Bit of a 'barn find' this, has sat in a drawer unloved for almost 40 years, just stuck a new battery in it and it's ticking away merrily :)

That's a nice piece. I'm still trying to find an Accurist diver's from the late 80s that looked a bit like a Tag. I had one but can't remember what happened to it. Lovely thing. Can't even find a photo of one.

Clearly the owner regarded the watch as an item to be used, and not as a piece of jewellery. I too have my suspicious that it is the same bracelet - some of the scratches and dings are too deep to have been removed just by cleaning in an ultrasonic bath followed by polishing.

I usually get my Rolex serviced every ten years or so. Each time it comes back gleaming, but then the metalwork will have only suffered a few light scratches, and Rolex automatically replace the watch glass as part of the service. And no, it is not cheap - I think the last service cost around £500.
