Poached salmon with an onion, tomato and dill sauce, boiled potatoes, steamed broccoli, carrots, sugar-snap peas and sweetcorn.
Fresh fruit for dessert. All washed down with a rather nice rosé.
Mash potato impregnated with two runny boiled eggs, bits of Dolcelate Gorgonzola DOP, butter, spring onions and Langham's chilli sauce drizzled all over it.

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I like the idea..................Mmm, a bit (or lot) of grated crumbly Lancashire plus strong Cheddar on toast, all melted down and bubbling sounds appealing.

Home made I presume, great.
Wasn't feeling like much, had a Aldi Cornish Pasty, quite big, not bad.
Update, ring at the doorbell, neighbour cooked too many steaks, made a sandwich for me, so going to eat again.
Lol... Does that sort of thing happen often, and will you return the favour sometime? :D

I seem to help quite a few neighbours out, so they often feed me! It's quite nice. Today's steak sandwich was brought to me by a neighbour that I helped out with two tins of cat food yesterday for Pushkins, and also checked their car over for water, brake fluid and oil, they don't know how to do that.
Chinese tonight - grilled peking pork dumplings, char siu pork chow mein, chips & curry sauce

Nice one, Alex. That's what good neighbours are for :)
Sadly though, not all neighbours are as good, which is why we prefer living in a detached house.

Big baked spud from neighbour's allotment. Loads of grated Tesco 'Seriously Strong' Cheddar (lovely flavour) and mixed beans in tomato, plus fried chestnut mushrooms. Should be very tasty! Doing five, the whole mob are having one each. I'm having the largest! :)
Roast gammon, roast potatoes, peas, carrots and broccoli. Mia the cat had Felix chicken in jelly with turkey and rice biscuits

Sunday night is takeaway night so I had a lamb balti, mushroom rice and a naan. Mia the cat had Felix beef with carrots in jelly and as a treat a tuna and shrimp cat soup later.
Spicy meatballs and penne pasta, followed by a slice of hot dumpling(from neighbour) and light longlife cream substitute(which is rather good)

20 min ago I was in Morrissons, was going to buy a cauliflower to do cauli cheese, didn't because I felt lazy. Bought some spicy bean and chicken soup, just had that, not bad.
Some half-baked fried chicken (home-made)...

Yes - it's easy to make.
Indeed, nice one... I was just testing to see if you were filling yourself up with some unspeakable supermarket 'ready-meal' version of such! ;)

As far as I'm concerned, paella is the same as risotto but with sea food. Might be wrong, but that's how I make it.
As long as you use proper paella rice, not risotto (Arborio) rice, which is quite different ;)

Hope that it went well and that you recover quickly, was that keyhole surgery or other?
If you had a full anaesthetic did they tell you to drink plenty of water?
Thanks Alex. Plenty of fruit and veg they say because of possible constipation ?. It was a general one but only an hour long
so maybe just enough to knock me out, certainly not drowsy on awakening. Good to get done though.Feel good. cheers

I drank quite a bit of water, but not enough! Because next day, it was not nice straining on the toilet, quite worrying at the time, were the stitches going to burst!

Yes, constipation, I would drink plenty of water too. I didn't drink enough. Straining on the toilet was worrying.
Also the day I returned home from hospital, could not get comfortable in any chair, ended sitting in my old Volvo, very comfortable seat in there!
Thanks for the advice mate!
About to have this, which Del's just made for tonight's dinner, having only had a sandwich for lunch:

Recipe here, for those who may interested in making it: http://www.ginger-jar-food.com/recipes/pork-chops-cider-mustard/
Along with the thin green beans, we're having some fresh carrot batons and wild rice. Vino will be a rather lovely (chilled) Comte de Provence:

Don't know what it's called in Italian but we are having Mussels cooked in tomato/garlic sauce with Linguini. We often have this dish, which is really good value because a bag of live mussels is only around £3.50.

Linguini al sugo di cozze :)
Very nice, Dave, although traditionally it'd be served with clams, not mussels.
