I got myself a new coffee scale recently.
The what looks like a silver line down side is actually a shadow by way.
This is s Timemore scale and has lots of good points. It's quite handy too .

The Waitrose beans she uses are fickin' dire. When she makes the coffee. Which she did here.

I have to say I didn't watch her but the cups I made from the same machine/beans yesterday were appreciably better.

Better beans and I reckon for the price the machine is probably really good TBH. Need to validate that sometime.

Yes our right Grant, cheap so cant expect too much. Had a Waitrose French blend last weekend and that was superb but probably twice the price.:)

My all time favourite is still the Lavazza creme e aroma coffee. great value for money and when made using fresh beans wonderful smooth full flavour without any bitterness.

I buy it when I have forgotten to order from Wogan. It's pretty good. Not as good value as Wogan coffees at the normal Sainsbury's Union rate by a very significant factor, I reckon. And even at the discounted rate. £13 for 700g is a rip, really.

Basically, I find all diversions from Wogan always lead back to more Wogan:)

It's a strongish coffee as it's got a fair bit of robusta in and dark roasted.

well i dont use filter coffee, but filter tends to suit lighter roasts.. maybe start at
Honduras Aldea Capucas.. you could get 2*250gm bags one they grind to filter, and one as beans you can grind. you can then get a good idea of what is a good grind courseness for filter coffee

My selection for something to drink tonight combined with a double shot of the depicted coffee. Probably 750g into a Kg of this stuff, drinking a double shot every morning.

Every time it has been a pleasure.

Lesson. Just pay the money. Don't ask questions. You know it is worth it.

BTW the description of the flavour of this coffee is 100% absolute bollocks according to my taste buds, which deem it epic-- to epic-.

very nearly. your it's slave and have to move stuff etc.. yes once its set the only changes i make are grind adjustments. even tho i use same coffee beans, the age of them means a little adjustment needs made from time to time.

There OK, not up to your level but not too bad. I would like one of those Sage machines though - they look the biz! As you probably might remember I did a lot of work for Costa and had two Costa coffee machines to use at work but now retired I am back to my Nespresso machine.

To be honest I think that little Sage machines is as good as the full size coffee shop machines judging from the appearance of your coffees. Excellent Creme!

For sure, I am actually looking at the Sage Barista touch as they have a sale on at the moment and that machine would suit my needs. The automatic microfoam milk frother is actually the killer feature as I could never produce microfoam that easily.

steaming milk is easy once you get the knack; using right milk helps too as does the temp of it and the pot its in, but until you get said knack it can put you off. looks a diferent wand, and maybe no temp adjustment as i dont see a pir on end. sure itll work tho. still got to tamp it too and imo thats the biggest thing folk get wrong.

I use lactose free dairy milk from arla usually.
