I actually don't really like this type of music too much - I prefer my orchestral music to be without singers, but it's always interesting to explore & your tastes will almost certainly be different to mine. Spotify will let you hear a lot of this stuff if you'd like to give some of it a try.

For the Pudding:
Jeremy gave us thread number 3373 - also in July. This was a great sampler for classical music & Jeremy explained a good way of easing yourself into things while also providing some background information.

Dredging up things of interest from the archives is what this thread is about and here's a discussion that I find very interesting but frustratingly short of any real conclusion.

It was thread number 431 from April 2008.
Alex D came across a reference on the web to an interesting new loudspeaker design. The designer joined and entered the discussion. Soon afterwards the trail went cold. So I wonder what happened to the idea - does anyone know?

Well, last week's effort may well prove to be an interesting story - we'll see.

I didn't do this last week - the first time in almost a year - but there've been a few weeks when you've had twofers so I don't feel too bad about that.
