I sometimes feel that I'm the only one on here who not only really likes his wife and still wants to share all life's pleasures with her.
So I don't have a 'man' cave or anything separate from Ronnie in the house at all. We own everything etc etc.
Why the hell bother being married if it isn't like that? Life really is too short and its the only chance you get:scratch:

I for one don't intend turning into my wife. I laid certain rules down from the start.. I especially stipulated that my music will come first in the relationship..

While I love lobster I do think that a fresh crab has more taste to be honest... I haven't tried 'Gurnard' but it is supposed to be very nice and sweet tasting.... I once hooked a Gurnard while fishing out on our sailing boat but was so put off with it's look I put it back... nasty looking little fella it was :D
Not much into seafood myself...a bit of Salmon, or Haddock is about my stretch tbh. Plaice and Trout are ok. Smoked Haddies done in milk and an Aberdeen Buttery for breakfast is a luxury.
Your meal sounded nice - I could think of some nice wine to accompany that....

I know it's not Saturday. but I'm having a couple of nice lagers at the moment (bank holiday tomorrow, not that I work).
I've got nothing else much to do. The family have all cleared off for today (Goodie!), so I'm taking it easy and poking about on the net whilst glancing at the box now and then and looking on here to see if anybody is being naughty! :D
I've turned into a wino:D

When my children were young we as a family had several holidays in Germany. One of the beers/lagers I liked very much was Warsteiner. Recently I've been buying three 660ml bottles for a fiver in Morrisons. I chill it to within an inch of it's life and then consume. Lovely jubbly.

That is some claim. There is a place local to me, well, its in Kinsale, called the Greyhound. Their guinness or beamish is like drinking double cream. Veeeery nice.
I've started making my own beer lately. So far all is going well. Going to start batch no. 3 as soon as all the ingredients arrive.

Actually with the second brew, and the next one up, I am going all extract. So sugar is only used in the bottle priming. Its great fun. I made an awful mess the first time, but last time it was a breeze.
Have made beer when I was younger and some of it was rather good. Some were 'orrible as well. I mostly made wine tbh and I was pretty successful at it. made hundreds of bottles a year and lots of folk liked it. Elderberry was the most popular, and I did a tomato wine that came out as rose. It was an aquired tasted but sure was strong.. also made champagne and it was bloody good, although I overprimed it and had to put it out in the snow to calm it down..lol
Typical- got a pass this weekend from 'er indoors', but cannot go out as l have a viral infection and cold to top the whole lot off.:steam:

Cheers Grant. Keep some JD in for my Cousin when he comes down, have to say it's a taste I've not acquired yet.

These are lovely Bev. I'm keeping my eye on them, as I may bid if the price doesn't go silly. One of my big favourites and yes, I rate them more than the System 800. They're in Purley, about an hour and a bit from you. Proper pepperpot Tannoy HPD dual concentrics, they sound gorgeous. I've had five pairs.

My 8 watt Arcana (Antique Sounds) valve monoblocks used to drive them LOUD!
By the way. They have rubber roll cone surrounds that never seem to wear out.

It's just that I am using super sensitive Klipsch at the moment, about 97dB, so I am basing my thoughts on that..and 90dB sounds a bit low for the Oto..

A 7db variance is barely audible Bev. You'd notice little between the Klipsch and Tannoys.

Through the important mid and top they sound exactly like the bigger HPDs and the Monitor Golds and image just the same too. They use the same compression horn tweeter. They don't have the bass extension of the bigger units, but that's all, but they don't sound short of bass or impact by any means. It's a ten inch driver, that's bigger than most people have ever used.

The Eatons use the HPD 295A drive unit. Which is basically a 12" Monitor Gold fitted with a narrower 10 inch chassis and (backdoped) cone with rot proof surrounds. What's not to like?
