Well bass isn't as boomy, its a bit brighter but still a bit shouty in the upper mids with busy music

Evening Bass still not boomy, its gone a little brighter but still remains shouty in the upper mids with complex or busy music

Don't know whether this is the right place to post this or to start a separate thread but here goes:
Up to this morning Ive been very happy with the sounds that my Caimanised 7520 with 2 x OPA2132 op-amps swapped in but ....
this morning we bought Ms Streisand's latest CD (part of my master plan to convert my wife from Bose to hi-fi ), and stuck it on the player. Beautiful sounds all round EXCEPT a really boomy bass - certainly not heard it before so must (?) be the CD, yes?
Has anyone tried listening to this CD (if you don't mind admitting it ), and have you noticed the boomy bass?

Your best listening to your favourite J.M.Jarre as a test Dave. There will always be CD's that grate on your nerves because of poor recording techniques. In my case I can't play X & Y by Coldplay because of sibilence.

At first I ran the 2132 with the existing 4562 in the hphone amp socket.
Sounded great once ran in a few days.

Never thought to try the other 2132 in the Hpa socket, and i'm happier with that than the 4562.
Can be system dependant I guess?
I'm listening to Bat out of hell just now, with it's harsh "goes up to 11" production and screaming guitar solo's and "Shouty" is the last thing Id describe it as?
Smooth but inciscive treble, lots of "thwack" on drums, all very well separated and playing in it's own space.

I put the 4562s back in place just to sanity check the improvements and yup, a lot less bass, less focussed soundstage - more hifi sounding at the expense of the song getting through.

That said, the price of these Opamps are so cheap it's good fun to try them all.
I've tried a few now and the 2132s make music in a way that works for me.
