Moode Player Help

Actually most of the time, even with the random play symbol clicked in the Playback panel, it's playing tracks in sequence rather than at random. But because the UI has ground to a halt, it becomes unusable.

Something definitely isn't working correctly on my Pi with 2.6 :-(

OK, I have to say, that isn't at all obvious - so I don't actually select my iTunes library from my NAS list. It's working now. How does it know where to select at random from? Does it use all the configured NAS sources? Does it also select from USB sources too?

Mount shows this:

/dev/sda1 on /media/PI-MUSIC type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,noatime,nodiratime,sync,fm ask=0022,dmask=0022,codepage=437,iocharset=ascii,s hortname=mixed,showexec,utf8,errors=remount-ro,uhelper=udisks)

which suggests it's read/write, but I can't write files to it - my assumption is it's a permissions issue.

Hello, I made a Moode based RPI for a friend and it is working well. He asked about how he could play spotify or other streaming service from his phone to the pi. I just use AirPlay but he has an android phone.is there a way for him to stream via his phone to the pi?

I was wondering something similar, are there any Spotify Connect-ish functionality in moOde?

And, im having trouble connecting to my QNAP NAS shares. I do not want to supply username/passwod for these as my music shares are all read-enabled for guests.

Hi,

Moode does not have integrated Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz etc, rather u can turn on Airplay receiver in Moode and then play Spotify from Smartphone, Tablet or PC via Airplay.

What are the entries in Moode NAS config screen?

Hi,

Attached are some screen shots of a new in-place software updater that will be included in Moode 2.7. The updater can also be bootstrap loaded into Moode 2.6 using a bit of SSH.

This initial version provides a mechanism for updating Moode that can quickly deliver bug fixes and code updates thus eliminating the need to install new image. Future enhancements to the updater can provide migration of settings, sql and complex OS changes.

I have to say, Tim, I do like the new random playback which selects from all your NAS sources (and USB ones too if you have them?). My several years of recorded Proms concerts now pop up from time to time which is great!

The latest version is also a lot more stable for me. I tend to leave everything running all the time and would often find Moode to be no longer working next time I tried it, requiring a forceable reboot to get it going again. That seems to be a thing of the past - so far it's just kept running day after day.... famous last words of course!!

Also I may be just deluding myself, but the sound quality seems to have improved.

Moode just keeps getting better - great work!!
