I would avoid - it looks primitive with the Garrard SP25 headshell. If you really want a Decca arm, you would be better off spending more on a fixed headshell Decca arm, such as the 'London', or better still the 'International'.

It may be, but my brother used one for years with Shure cartridges on a 301, and it worked really well. He had the add-on magnetic bias compensator.

I would still put a nice pair of Klipsch La Scalas or maybe the mighty Klipschorns against them...

No speakers are perfect, but it's the musically cohesive nature of their 'point source' effect, mixed with the horn loading, their use of light, 'fast sounding' paper cones, and ability to SHIFT SERIOUS AMOUNTS OF AIR, in a grin-inducing way, which as you say, makes them rather addictive

Nine days to go and bid up to £1320 so far. I'm guessing maybe they'll go for £5000 to £7000.

If you look closely there's slight dimpling to the right hand dustcap....I shouldn't imagine they'll go for much

Joking aside, based on what NIB Garrards fetch, I'm estimating the upper end of the 5k to 7k.

Klipsch and Tannoy lovers, do drop in to my room at Scalford and check out what the currently under-the-radar Ureis are capable of...

Those boxes....that version of the Tannoy logo...I'm no expert but they're not contemporary, are they? so NOT NIB, so maybe not a NIB price?

Yes, did not notice that, also marked on the boxes in marker pen RE followed by a number. Recone possibly?

Many years ago I had some KEF B200's reconed by KEF, they wrote REC on a label stuck on the chassis.
