Her Ertha Kit impersonation with "I Can't Give You Anything but Love " is superb Malcolm. Or did ertha copy her? Sounds remarkably similar

    Faith No More - Angel Dust (2LP, Slash/Rhino 2015)
I had no idea what kind of pressing this was when i ordered it. It turns out as a Slash/Rhino extremely silent vinyl sounding excellent!
And, as many know, an absolute must music wise!

It had never really struck me before, but now you mention it yes she does. It's probably Alma doing the imitating, as on another album she has an affectionate dig at Shirley Bassey on 'I get a kick out of you' --

Tonight I'm playing a little Stacey Kent, limbering up for her new album ('Tenderly') which is due out on Friday. Saw her again as Ronnie Scotts back in September and she was excellent.

Jazz (of course) -- slender voiced, bit of a storyteller in song and good with a wordy lyric. I've seen her live seven or eight times now and I don't think I've heard her put out a bum note. Her husband and musical director is British saxophonist Jim Tomlinson who plays very Getzian tenor on her albums, as well as (occasionally) soprano sax and flute. Some people compare her with Blossom Dearie but I think the similarities are slight and only superficial. Another of my favourites. I think there's quite a bit of Stacey on Spotify.

...set me off on a train of thought

"You know, my mother doesn't know I'm here. She doesn't know I sing in nightclubs. --- she thinks I'm still in jail!" - Blossom in between her first and second numbers on this album.
