Here's my fave recording, with the Keller string quartet playing on an Onyx LP, not available on CD as far as I know.

'Sad, beautiful melodies' sounds like my cup of tea. It still surprises me that there is so much difference between the LP and CD of the same music ... usually favouring the LP but not always. I suspect it has as much to do with the mastering as the format. I'll keep an eye out for it as I am much taken with the quintet.
