No. I've not heard Brabbins - I assume you rate it highly?
My other faves are Previn (EMI) and Fremaux. I've heard quite a few others, but they don't really compete, for me. (eg, Previn (Telarc), Litton, Slatkin, Davis, Boult, Mackerras, Daniel, Walton)

yep yep - Previn on RCA!!
not sure I like the sound of that, but it is intriguing - I'll keep an eye out!

- the finale of the Appassionata sonata is literally laugh out loud amazing (the opening chords) and jawdropping (the rest).
