That's exactly what happened to mine Alex - those that survived the BSA got it from a Weihrauch! I never felt like replacing mine though.

It seems we all had similar upbringingsI'd build loads of 1:42 scale Airfix and Matchbox model kits of aircraft during the school hols, paint 'em then hang 'em up with cotton from trees on some farmland near to where I lived, then I'd blast them into itty, bitty pieces with my BSA Airsporter fitted with a Tasco scope. Come bonfire night I'd fill 'em with bangers for a more spectacular ending...

+1 with knobs on! I was a right bugger with my air rifles (still have one), shooting birds in the back garden, and firing at (live) shotgun cartridges, head-on, placed about 30m away (I also owned a couple of shotguns), aiming at the little round spot in the centre, so they'd go off and scare the shite out of the neighbours!![]()
I got up to all sorts with them. I was also a pretty good shot and used to enter competitions - won a few cups, too! Used to 'soup-up' my guns with special springs to increase their power (making them illegal in the process) and use special steel-tipped pellets, for extra penetration...
What about seriously bad-ass slings, like the 'Black Widow' - was anyone into that stuff? I use to fire ball-bearings to scare cats, with those!
Marco.
