the platter has 1 essential part that is impossible to source and thus has to be made specially, so due to that fact the platters are expensive I guess, that is 1 reason why I went for the vantage platter and I will have mine finished very shortly, even though I could buy one I personally think the vantage platter will be close to or maybe better than plastic platters, I would like to listen to one other than through headphones but don't have time to faff about any longer as I am just too busy, my Tech will have:-

Vantage Platter
Stillpoints LPI
Vantage Bearing
SME 309 Arm Re-Wired with NWA Cabling (until the wand comes back)
