yes a EL84 valve amp, i have contacted the seller and the other buyer had dropped out, i said i would pay more than £25 it sold for, they told me that they really thought it should of sold for more money and might relist it after getting it valued by an expert , so we will have to wait and see, its only 5 mins around the corner as well

But he was prepared to let it go for the finish price, whats the difference between the buyer that dropped out & you?!!! I wouldnt play games with him.It sells for what it sells for simple as that, nothings worth any of these artificially inflated price, it's worth what it sells for.. if he wants more there's such a thing as a reserve price, if he doesnt want to pay the the reserve listing fee tough sh*t. tbh i'm getting very browned orf with what things are fetching these days, time to throw in the towel with vintage gear me thinks.

It's getting ridiculous on eBay for buyers these days, I'm selling a lot just lately and frankly cannot believe what people are paying me - but that does not bode well for later on, when I want to buy something myself I think the number of people using eBay has increased significantly too, the number of watchers you get compared to 5 or 6 years ago is huge.

I think I bumped up the average price on Musical Fidelity A3 CDP's recently. I do very good listings, with nice photographs and people seem to pay a bit more for my gear which is mint, but now everyone lists at the price I got, even if it's ratty, at a price which is around 100 more than they went for 12 months ago! Pisses me off when they steal my well prepared text too - I now watermark my pictures as well, as they have been stolen in the past

But having said all that, I still think it's an amazing resource and I wouldn't be without it. High fees or not, what would I get at a carboot sale for my stuff and where would I find things like my Albarry PP1, which was an absolute bargain and a wonderful sounding amp.

Some people have no idea what they're doing and a lot of them are really good at it.
