Last person I saw in concert was 'Caribou' He has a fanatical following. Its not unusual for guns to be fired into the air (hopefully) when he is on.

    Its certainly an experience!

Is that "Manitoba" as was? Guns, really?! I thought us "chilled out" folks would be far too horizontal for that sort of shenanigans!

He is a Thai folk singer of Neil Young status. I lived in Thailand for 5 years and was lucky enough to see him in a small (gun) smoke filled club.

His concerts can be quite dangerous as he's a sort of revolutionary icon and as we all know guns, revolution and alcohol don't mix very well...

mmmm...Alex the Caribou you're referring to is Dan Snaith (he of a Phd in mathematics), formerly 'Dan Snaith's Manitoba', who changed name due to an impending law suite from Handsome Dick Manitoba (former lunatic lead singer with the Destroyers).

Managed to see them twice last year...absolutely superb!!! Just booked up for the ATP nightmare before Christmas festival, it's being curated by Caribou and Battles, I'm really looking forward to seeing them both...

Caribou from last years big chill...I have to confess the baldy headed idiot at the front jumping around with his hand in the air is me, It was sunny I was having a good time, what more can I say...guilty as charged your honour...the drugs DO work Mr Ashcroft!

Damn I should have gone, I fully intended to but got caught up with work...

Nice venue isn't it, and the sound is usually very good, did they get much of a crowd?

Excellent...my mates been helping the owner selecting the less err...commercial bands, he managed to get Gong earlier in the year too, so it's good news that it was busy...otherwise it's back to eighties nights, and cover bands

Another reason I should have gone...

Did you like the Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen frescos on the wall? A bit tacky IMHO but it is a great little venue none the less, and the staff are fairly relaxed
