The picture quality is very good indeed.. However the discs are all 1080i... As long as your blu ray player is good at de-interlacing then i'm sure you'll be very happy with the picture qualityIn all honesty there aren't a great deal of quality documentaries out there, this is one of them, a lot of other BBC blu rays are also worth looking at. Ganges, Wild China, South Pacific (i guess my favourite BD ever
) The Story Of India, etc are all well worth a buy imo at a good price, i keep coming back to watch them...

Planet Earth was the first Bluray I bought - thoroughly recommended - I often just put it on in the background with no sound when listening to my hifi. (Still haven't watched Bakara yet, or 2001, both inspired by this thread - my New Year's resolution only applies to CDs by the way!)
