Alex, you haven't really missed anything. Why? Look at the surrounds of the bass cones. When new, this was a sort of slightly sticky rubber consistency. With the passing of the years, this seems to have reverted to the sheet that it originally was and it's wrinkling in places. The early Spendors and Rogers BBC derivatives suffered too and the bass unit output drops by several db as a result, the bass all but disappearing as well. I don''t believe the DM4's were like this when new tbh.
I can't go on and I can't go back, I don't feel so matter of fact,
I tried and tried to make good sense, What's the good to try it all again?

I've had 'DM4's i like em, but the later all black units..
I noticed the wrinkling and suggested these werent the best ones. Probably why they went so cheap.
A local charity shop was selling a pair sans grills for £15! I passed them up.![]()

You know what gets up my back. when you ask for additional pictures of the item, the seller says he's too busy! a few mins thats all it takes, i mean were's he gonna find time to pack it & post it i ask myself.
So then, fabulous and rare item but zero rated seller and one tiny picture. Dodgy do we reckon?

Ah yes but those are ebay miles which equate on average to about 0.6 of our miles!!!! I was watching a stand that was 30 miles away. When I put it all in google, it was 57 miles away. That would have added just over another couple of gallons @ £6 per gallon it wouldn't have been such a bargain!
