Ours was "prawn" for ages, then after the first scan my Missus said "it's got your chops" (we didn't find out the sex, so she was an "it" until birth) - so Chops became her nickname, and it has stuck - we still call her Chops more than anything else, the poor little thing! (And I'm Mr Chops and Mummy is Mrs Chops!) Fingers crossed for you Hamish - I'm sorry to tell you that the shitting yourself for the safety and survival is unlikely ever to stop - certainly hasn't for me for the last 3 years and I doubt it ever will!
