USB has 4 types of transfer modes
• Control Transfers: command and status operations,
• Interrupt Transfers: device requires the attention of the host
• Bulk Transfers: large volumes of data like print jobs
• Isochronous Transfers: time sensitive information, such as an audio or video stream

Within the Isochronous mode you three possible types of synchronization.
  • Synchronous
  • Adaptive
  • Asynchronous


So regardless of using adaptive or Asynchronous synchronization, the transfer mode remains Isochronous

It is completely unclear to me what USB2 got to do with this.
