I still really want a vintage Marantz tuner for my office system... Not this one though, much as I would have loved to have nabbed it - but some of them are fetching serious money now...

I'm Nobody.
I have its baby brother exactly the same just no scope.
Very nice sound quality and with Dolby FM switched in, its even better (not always the case with Dolby FM). MW is pretty nice as well.
I thought it might go for a bit more at least a consistent bidder won it and not a snipe merchant.
Regards D S D L
Sorry to go
Sorry Neil, but i find that a little offensive seeing as i bid manually usually within the last 10 seconds of an auction ending
You have to remember that unlike an auction at an auctioneers (is that a correct word?) there is a set time the thing will end, rather than keep going until the highest bid is in. If you want to get things at a decent price then you use you head & don't bid until the last few seconds, if you get outbid it's tough titty
Yes i'm a sniper but i do it myself & pay straight away, i wouldn't dream of using some program that needs me to enter all my details just to use it
All i can say is that if you want to keep the price going up on what you intend to purchase then feel free to carry on with your own habits, just don't criticise others that don't follow the same methods![]()
