Went to the Swan in Westerfield last night for a cheeky half-term midweek family dinner.

I had the smoked duck from the specials board (lovely!)

And the lemon and herb chicken skewers.

I was a pig and had Oreo Cheesecake too, but forgot to take a photo!

There were two rogans, Bombay aloo, butter chicken, sag paneer, bhajis, couple of different rices, nan another main I can’t identify. We’d already had poppadoms and the pickle tray and starters.

Three of us had draft cobra and one had bottled kingfisher.

It is good to have a range of curries to cater for all tastes: from mild to fiery hot.

It all looked delicious - but who was drinking the red wine!

Two of us had a bottle of Merlot with the main course (lamb rogan).

Either they’re very big potatoes or that’s not a very big dinner - does look good though!

Some past meals, in very rough chronological order (as I need to slim down the photo library):

A salad eaten in Crete recently, with an Alpha lager.

Some more Greek nosh, this time with a Fix lager:

(I discovered FIX lager (pronounce "FICKS") whilst in Santorini, and now if I am in Greece will always try to get my 'fix' of FIX.

A sort of beef borguigon with chips, and an Alpha beer.

    Another Greek salad:

Stuffed pepper and tomato with butter beans and some vegetables with a tomato sauce:

    A Greek pasta salad:

Me eating the starter course at Dinner (Happy and I always 'dressed' for dinner; and always received compliments for such):

    Now home, so:

Prawns, in a tomato, garlic and basil sauce, chick peas and green beans, with a decent bottle of wine.

More of more or less the same.

Beef with chickpeas spaghetti and some vegetables - and another FIX beer!

Fresh strawberries and grapes with yoghurt for dessert.
