Certainly worth a look Alex. Think you mentioned you liked the coloured Seagull mechanical chronographs? They have some great deals when they have a 'sale'. Also more reasonable for watch storage solutions than Amazon. I'm in the process of transferring the collection into briefcase style padded boxes from the crappy Chinese presentation cases with glass tops that break if you breathe on them heavily.

After having had a mad start to the year buying, I have taken a break of a few months to consolidate in my head what I want to keep, and what I want to buy going forward, probably buying less but nicer, which I guess is what you and most “collectors” end up doing? I do have a Sugess Seagull movement mechanical chrono and it is one of my favourites, so I will definitely have to have a look again on Ali.![]()

I like that, as I think I have said before, I don’t have a single watch that has all numbers, but I do like ones that have just a couple like that one, or three or four.
By coincidence this one I am wearing today (first time I think, bought at the start of the year but never worn as far as I can recall) has Roman numerals at 12 and 6 or rather XII and VI. It’s a fashion quartz watch so not for proper collectors but I really liked it and I think paid only £25. Don’t have many “gold” watches as there is a danger I think they can be too blingy but I thought this was just the right side of too much.

Yes, it’s sometimes hard to get the ‘gold watch’ look right, that one looks classy though, nice one.
This one for tonight/tomorrow.
