There was both an X777ES as well as an X77ES. The 777s fetch more on the used market than do the 77s.
Not sure of the difference, except to assume the 777 was a later development.
Same era but 777 components were top of the range. Basic rule of ES is higher numbers better except single digit designations which are in their own little hierarchy, again higher is better.
