I could certainly think of worst ways of spending £12k. You've also got to consider the cost of importing them from Japan, in crates, unless by some miracle you could find a pair nearer home.

Also they were designed to be bi-amplified, thus each requiring an electronic crossover and an additional power amp. More expense.

Was at Cranage this year (First time as a punter lol) and listened to this in the Radford room with a pair of M100's and RFC Rubato standmounts. Still trying to figure out how those floorstanders produced the bass they were. Amazing stuff, and one of the best sounds of the show for me, just a great sound.
