My partner and I do live together, but we have our own places. Her's is in London, mine in Essex. So a 30 mile distance via car or train, to shuttle back and forth.
We tend to alternate cooking duties. She is what I would call a natural cook, whereas I will follow a recipe assidiously; measuring out things to the last gram and mililitre (I had a scientific education! ) She is good at spicy African food and curries, me, I'm more at home with pasta dishes and things like chilli con carne. Haven't cooked a roast dinner in ages, but I did perfect the art of making roast potatoes.
Viz, yesterday:
Penne with red kidney beans and chick peas in a tomato, onion, garlic and ginger sauce, with freshwater prawns. Some yellow pepper and broccoli on the side.
Lemon cheesecake for dessert:
2025 Gallo White Zinfandel rosé to drink.
