I came to his albums only quite recently - this one, then Tea for the Tillerman and Teaser and the Firecat. But they're both vinyl, and I'm feeling lazy Very listenable.

    The Aloof - Sinking (1996)

Just ripped a George Michael CD to FLAC, which got me thinking about Princess Diana’s death, as I remember Radio 1 playing ambient/chilllout/downtempo music the morning after she died, including “You Have Been Loved”. I was on holiday in Wales at the time, and thought the radio wasn’t working properly! We put the telly on, and then found out what had happened, Anyway, another one of the tracks they played was The Last Stand which closes this album, so it seemed logical to give it a spin.

Couple of interesting albums there Mike - didn’t mind some of either of them (Black Dog / White Horse very good, can see why it’s their number 1 track on Tidal.)
Hints of Arctic Monkeys and a Black Country Streets!

Flogging Molly a cross between Dexys and Pogues - on speed!

    Cheers Alex.

Love your description of Flogging Molly, but you've nailed it. I like them as much as The Pogues.
