For various reasons, it’s been at least a week since I’ve been able to listen on the “big rig” - put this on, and good though my other kit is the Spendors are just so much more!

    Adam F - Colours (1997)

Another album I had completely forgotten about, though at least I still remember this one! It’s a great Drum and Bass album, played it a lot back in the day when I had a DnB phase. That was before Wikipedia - I was today years old when I learned that Adam Fenton is the son of Alvin Stardust, the nephew of Rory Storm and married to Kirsty Hawkshaw! Every day’s a school day!

Another excellent record there Alex. Half of the posts here mention acts and performers I have never heard of, let alone heard. So it is nice to see you enjoying a record that is also in my collection.

My brother bought that when it came out and played it to death. When he went over to CD he gave me all his vinyl but not that one, I wonder what happened to it.

Exactly the same here Barry, but I then listen to them and have picked up a few I really like. The best bit about the thread, methinks

I do try to listen to some of the recordings you and others mention, and am always open to new sounds.

Most of the time I use my smartphone when I'm on the Forum. Clearly the acoustics are somewhat limited and it is not the best way to listen to any new music: it is probably the reason why some of my comments have been less than favourable and dismissive. In future I will have to connect my laptop to my audio system via a USB to my DAC, and listen to music on-line properly.

To be honest, I think if you don't "get" the music from listening via a smartphone, playing it at higher quality is unlikely to make you change your mind, in my opinion. I do try a lot of what has been posted and I fairly quickly know if it is something that will float my boat or not, a few might be undecided, and in that case I guess a proper play through a decent sounding option might help.

Same here. If I get halfway through an Album, it's probably OK. If I listen all the way through, I'll probably like it.
