I have 6 or 7 I think but really only wear my 2 Tag Heuers

I am going to have my Aquaracer serviced , am I better arranging for it to be done by Tag or use a third party service?
    Regards

We had my other half’s Carrera serviced via the Tag shop in Lakeside shopping centre. Took a couple of months, cost us £405 in 2024. It had been losing time but has been ok since the service.

Could probably make do with a dozen or so.

My main ‘fetish’ at the moment is collecting as many of the available colour ways as I possibly can for a particular model.

That was my light bulb moment . . . I used to have a nice TAG I bought second hand from a friend. Had it a few years before taking it to Ernest Jones in Poole for a service, must have been about 15 or 20 years ago and it cost me £180.00. That was enough for a cheapskate like me, I bought a TAG box from eBay and sold it with the TAG service receipt. I made a few quid overall, so that was good but my expensive watch owning days were over.

I'm firmly in the cheap seats now and I can change my own battery on the Casio

I am going to get my Dad's Omega done however, but that's more than a watch to me. I love watching YouTube videos of restorations though, there's a guy called Nekkid Watchmaker and a guy in the US called Wristwatch Revival . . . absolutely fascinating, so I totally understand why people love watches.

I love seeing old things being restored, we throw far too much away these days.

Some people have no idea what they're doing and a lot of them are really good at it.

My other tag is a Carrera but will probably just take the Aquaracer to the tag shop in Glasgow , expect it to take a couple of months.

Got her this for Xmas 2019 and she’s never worn it! It’s from 2005 and in exceptional condition, she’s scared she’d scratch it.

Wow, lucky lady! Both very nice watches, the Rolex especially is very understated.
