Sunny start, walked up the boot sale* with dog and still too hot for him in the sun, about 21. Should get a bit warmer but cloud until around 7pm when it should be nice to sit on the patio with a (non-alcoholic) beer after the BBQ - lots of gardening and DIY to do before then.

So much for “having a week off” - back to work tomorrow for a rest!

    * nothing much doing at the boot sale, a few stalls with vinyl (when Showadawaddy’s Greatest Hits is at the front of the crate you know it’s not going to be worth a rummage!) but didn’t see any electronics or speakers. Son wants to try coarse fishing so had this fanciful idea that I’d rock up to the bootie, find someone with a full set of gear for a tenner and job’s a goodun. Not looking likely!

If your lad takes up any fishing that's not in the sea, be sure to get him a rod licence - not big money, but if caught without one will cost dearly

Edit: I see that it's free if he's 16 or under.

Yep, already told him I’ll buy him a Rod Licence for his birthday! [emoji6]

I think its about 36 quid for me for a year, I guess I’ll need one too, even if I’m just “instructing” although that will be stretching it as I know naff all about fishing and haven’t done it in 40 years, but could be fun!
