I only own about 30 / 40 or so Cassettes. I've gone to sell the deck a few times but then can't bring myself to do it. I do love the medium and the deck. I drag it out 2 or 3 times a year to keep it going, promise myself to buy more cassettes and listen to it more (it does sound pretty special) but then put it back in the cupboard and buy more vinyl

Certainly a great deck, Mike! I can see why you wouldn't want to part with it. I only ever really used mine to make compilation tapes for the car back in the 80's. Most of them ended with "Happy Hour" by The Housemartins - it was the shortest single I knew and I always managed to fit it on the last bit of tape on the spool!

    Finishing the evening appropriately with:

    Chromatics - Night Drive (2007)

One of those bands that I discovered, forgot about, discovered again and forgot about again! Too much music, not enough time!

Well, there's a coincidence or two! Whilst Tim was playing the new Social Distortion album Born To Kill I was carrying on with Chromatics, and Kill For Love. Now you're playing the Starship, Dom, whilst I'm playing the Airplane!

English Teacher - This Could Be Texas (2024)

A new one on me - they're playing at Latitude, so just checking them out - interesting so far, definitely worth a repeat play or two.

Agreed, and so much better than their evolution to 'The Starship'.

    Tina Dico - Whispers (2014)

Not played this one in a while. Come on Tina, we need a new album - been 8 years since Fastland.
