There’s not a bad track on it. The film is great, too, albeit a cheese fest! I do have my original vinyl copy and CD “upgrade” - inevitably there’s a 2015 remaster “Deluxe” edition but have never tried that, not usually a fan of those type of releases. Maybe I should. I have a few others, but a lot of gaps. We must be due a prince biopic?
I finished last night on some Penguin Cafe Orchestra per Barry’s helpful reminder, and next in the alphabetical list comes this, so, why not.
Pentangle - The Pentangle (1968)
Another one not played in eons - considering it is older than me the recording is fantastic, as is the production and of course, the performances.

Good one Alex! Saw them perform in Manchester shortly after the LP was released.

Not seen the film since the 1980s but recall it being very cheesy and cliched - but the music carries it of course. Never seems to get shown on TV now. Or if it has been I've missed it.
I'm not keen on rock biopics have to say. 'The Doors' is one of the worst things I ever saw.
A mate played me 'Diamonds And Pearls' and I thought 'must get that.' That was almost 40 years ago!
Sometimes think if I lived to be a thousand there's still a lot of stuff I wouldn't get around to.

Doesn’t look like the movie is available to stream free on any of the platforms, I certainly don’t ever remember seeing it on broadcast TV. I am sure I have it on DVD but they’re all in the loft, I will have to check. That said, it’s only £7.99 in 4k on Apple so that would save a trip up the ladder to the freezing cold! I had it on VHS, wore out this part of the tape: [emoji846]

According to AI:
“Yes, there are multiple Prince biopics in development, most notably a scripted film called The Most Beautiful, based on his first wife Mayte Garcia's memoir, with Melis Aker writing the script. Another major project is a jukebox biopic, The Purple One, directed by Ryan Coogler. While there are other documentaries in various stages, these two scripted features are the most prominent new projects.”
Diamonds and Pearls is one I do have, will give that a play later.
