    Bit of a vegetarian dinner last night:


    Penne pasta with black bean, onion, garlic and a little tomato purée, asparagus, carrot and brocolli.

    Black cherries and cream for dessert:


    And the rest of the 2016 Château Du Breuil to drink.

    The 'main course' was largely leftovers.

    The corn on the cob was bought in the local market: my partner insists on fresh vegetables, and these cobs were being sold cheaply as it was the end of the day.

    The passion fruit was however a disappointment to me.
