You're not the only one. Have a look on Reddit to read the opinions of those from both camps.
Myself, I think it is one of the most important records of the mid '60s: not just for the arrangements, unusual choice of instruments, superb vocal harmonies, but for the introspective lyrics which express the doubts and uncertainties most of us go through during adolescence.
