Every time I log onto AOS I think of Grant. He was always here with good advice or a quip and now there is a Grant sized hole in the forum.

    God bless him.

I miss him more the longer he's been gone. Not often you can say that about people.

Today is an example of day when Grant and I, would have had a chat , him glass half empty and me half glass full about the football tonight, he would be saying we would be out classed and he would have been right but you never know , well we did go to Nice and win 4-1, if we win tonight I’ll have a dram of something decent, another of our shared interests.
    Regards
    Robin

Agreed, he is indeed sorely missed, bless him. A true gent, and had time for everyone.

I would just add one thing to the above as someone who browses and posts on a few hifi forums, that it was Grant's modest, gentle and patient contributions to AoS that largely made it what it was (and hopefully remains) - the most pleasant, welcoming and unassuming hifi forum in the UK.

Raising a glass to you Grant, all the best wherever you are.

Yes, Grant was a much loved Member of AoS and he is greatly missed.

I should add that Grant did much of the heavy lifting to keep things running during Marco's absence, by starting and resurrecting threads on football, cinema, tea and coffee, as well as whisk(e)y. He was also very skillful in finding appropriate links to help others Members with their enquiries.

    RIP Grant.

Grant's absence is felt as strongly as ever, and I don't see that changing any time soon. He really has left a hole in this forum. The best way we can honour Grant is to do all we can to keep it all going with kindness and respect for each other, it's what this forum (community) does best imo.
