Next up is a little known album, I guess, but one of those great finds made simply by chance.

I came across this album from being mentioned as played as a “test” album in a hi-fi review ! I can’t remember what was being reviewed etc but it was probably around the time the album was released in 1984 / 1985.

He was considered as a virtuoso guitarist who used unorthodox playing techniques, he tragically died in a car accident at the age of 44.

His other albums are well worth listening to, Aerial Boundaries is a favourite which I have had since '85

A firm favourite although her other albums are all very good this stands out, I have the original first pressing on vinyl bought when it was released and the millennium edition cd release they both sound great but late night listening tends to always be vinyl [emoji41]

I love Promise, too, her second album. I used to go to school with a girl who we’ll call “Jo”, mainly because that’s her name. She was gorgeous but one of the popular girls and well out of my league and I hardly spoke to her at school. A few years after we’d left school I was working in an office and a temp turned up - yep, it was Jo.

We got talking and got on very well and after a few weeks, she invited me to her place for dinner. When I arrived, the room was dimly lit with candles and Promise was playing. I knew I was in for a good night!

I think that Boris Wilsdorf’s eros stuff is every bit as good as his Einstürzende Neubauten stuff. I really like it

If there is a modern, deeper 60’s Psychedelic Space Rock record out there, I’m not aware of it.
