Very strange, but I’ve gone off coffee the past few months. I still have the occasional one, but it’s probably only 2 or 3 cups a week, whereas it used to be 3 or 4 a day. I have started having an Earl Grey as my morning drink, then maybe another in the afternoon, otherwise just water.

I do like a robust Assam around 10am, it sets me up for the day.

My espresso machine blew up, a week or so ago (not actually blew up but did make a bang and steam coming out where it shouldn’t).

Replacement just arrived - seems just as good as the old one which I got 4 years out of for £100, let’s hope it lasts a bit longer.

I'll stick with my stove-top Mokka pot.
Not as sophisticated as an espresso machine, but I'm not fussed by the creama on a frothy coffee.

Yes, but not too shabby looking.
The important thing, how did it taste?

I have finally found a local roaster that does a coffee very much to my taste.

Thanks Kevin, very new to this , but tasted fine, certainly a lot better than my earlier efforts.
