Yeah I would say that John Mayall record is a bit of a bargain. In real money works out cheaper than that bargain of the (previous) century, Faust Tapes, which in 1973 sold for 49p.

Nice quiet pressing on heavyweight vinyl, and a surprisingly good recording given its age. And the lineup will no doubt appeal to many on here:

John Mayall - vocals, organ, piano, harmonica, 5 and 9 string guitars
Peter Green - vocals, lead guitar
John McVie - bass guitar
Aynsley Dunbar - drums.

So we start with this her second album from 2012; this outstanding singer songwriter often compared to Karen Carpenter, from which you can read as, a vocalist with am extraordinary ability to deliver the most challenging song and make it sound effortless and beautiful! She can tackle every genre and make it sound like it’s all she has ever sung, as the collection of tracks here demonstrates.

I think the SQ is excellent, though I'm sure you will be better qualified to judge, as this isn't the kind of thing I normally listen to. There is an almost identical looking double album called this, which I read covers everything Peter Green did with John Mayall, but for the price I have no hesitation recommending this.

Next up another favourite American singer songwriter with an enviable back catalogue both with his group and as a solo artist.

This is the 11th studio album from his group, the title track being one of those AOR anthemic tracks that appears on compilation albums everywhere !

Last up and vinyl and this original release pressing of the album which was to be a game changer for this English & American rock band. Formed in New York City in 1976 by guitarist Mick Jones, vocalist Lou Gramm, drummer Dennis Elliott, keyboardist Al Greenwood, bassist Ed Gagliardi and multi-instrumentalist Ian McDonald, the last of whom was also a founding member of King Crimson. Foreigner is one of the world's best-selling bands of all time, with worldwide sales of more than 80 million records,including 37.5 million in the US alone!

The album's name signifies that it is the band's fourth studio album and also the fact that the band's membership had reduced from six to four members. Musically, it showed Foreigner shifting from hard rock to more accessible mainstream rock and pop music.

The album was a success worldwide, holding the #1 position on the Billboard album chart for a total of 10 weeks. It eventually sold over six million copies in the U.S. alone.

Those tracks are essential, so the version to go for is the one you have.

Definitely the one with Green Manalishi (With the two prong crown) ! We often forget what a truly great guitarist Peter Green was.

The next 40 minutes will tell me whether this is a bargain or if my money would have been better spent on 2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps.

My copy turned up mint, but a couple of members weren't so lucky, theirs arriving with some degree of damage. So it looks to be a bit of a lottery. Fingers crossed
