Did someone mention greatest hits?
I will just mention to anyone considering buying this on CD: there are two almost identical versions of this CD, this one (which is the same as the old LP's tracklisting), and another which will offer a couple more songs but is missing The Green Manalishi, Man of the World, and Oh Well (pts 1 and 2). So if those songs matter then the one pictured above is the one to go for.
or you could just buy the record![]()

Ok, this has just landed on my welcome mat:
As may have been noted by everyone here, this record is currently being sold on the Amazon for a piffling £6.97 (with free postage if you're a Prime member). The next 40 minutes will tell me whether this is a bargain or if my money would have been better spent on 2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps.
Edit: it looks like 'free delivery' is available to all - no need to be a Prime member.

Yeah I would say that John Mayall record is a bit of a bargain. In real money works out cheaper than that bargain of the (previous) century, Faust Tapes, which in 1973 sold for 49p.
Nice quiet pressing on heavyweight vinyl, and a surprisingly good recording given its age. And the lineup will no doubt appeal to many on here:
John Mayall - vocals, organ, piano, harmonica, 5 and 9 string guitars
Peter Green - vocals, lead guitar
John McVie - bass guitar
Aynsley Dunbar - drums.

I think the SQ is excellent, though I'm sure you will be better qualified to judge, as this isn't the kind of thing I normally listen to. There is an almost identical looking double album called this, which I read covers everything Peter Green did with John Mayall, but for the price I have no hesitation recommending this.

I'm Dave.
Unusually for me a whole bunch of Wes Montgomery tracks. Currently Bock to Bock.
