I'm still stunned by the fact that P&O have got away with murder: sacking nearly 800 ferry personnel via an e-mail, giving them less than 24 hours notice.

Despite breaking UK law, the government are unable (or unwilling) to do anything about it.

CPS advised there was no chance of a successful prosecution. I don't understand why and it was never explained in the news item I read.

The company( Lukoil)confirmed his death but said only that Maganov, 67, had "passed away following a severe illness".

[i suppose being flung out the window of tenth floor qualifies as a severe illness]

That would certainly produce some fairly radical symptoms!

He worked a lot in all sorts of places but did a few months in Moscow and Kazakstan too a few years ago.
We saw him the other day
He was chatting to a friend in Moscow recently and basicallly the richer guys have vpn's and computers so ,can see whats happening ,but its just better to keep their heads down and not risk any chances of falling out of that window !!

Well said, if a strike action isn't democratic, then it's worthless.

So Liz Truss will likely be our next PM, can't say that excites me too much. But, it's rumoured she'll elect Kemi Badenoch as her education secretary. Badenoch is known for her anti-Woke views, and nowhere is this more salient than in education, what with 'drag queen story hour' and all that bollocks. I really hope she takes the fight for common sense all the way, like many others, I'm sick of all this nonsense being thrust on us by ignorant liberals, who couldn't see a bad idea if it screamed in their faces while pulling on their ears. Mind you, this is all meaningless unless the Tory's really do something about this, rather than their usual impotent virtue signaling bollocks, like with the Rwanda plan that never was and never shall be.

    This ^^^
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan
