I can't imagine what sort of upbringing you must have had to want to bully a very old man, these people are truly beyond redemption, and they deserve nothing but the harshest treatment.

Shortages likely if Felixstowe industrial action goes ahead. Maybe other ports could be affected too.

The report suggests that freight will probably be diverted to other ports, but I doubt it will be that simple. I think we can expect Unite to get all their members to follow Felixstowe's lead.

If the dispute runs on, supply shortages will undoubtedly hike cost of products even further. Couldn't be a worse time for this. No idea whether to feel sorry for the workers here, as I don't know what they're currently getting. I bet it's more than I get though.

I think it unlikely other ports have the additional capacity, assuming they don't also join in the industrial action.

it's suspicious that the union doesn't put the offer to the members. If they were to do so and the members reject it then that's fair enough. Same is happening with the rail dispute.

Does make me wonder if the union is just using their members as pawns in an ideological battle, like with Scargill and the miners.

all for working folk getting a decent wage etc but they have to be careful not to start starving the public as it will backfire.
