Whatever happened to all the houses that were given the horrible artificial 'block' stone cladding treatment in the eighties. Did it all fall off? There used to be loads around here, I can't think of any now, they've vanished. Must have been fun chipping that lot off and rendering. It was an idea that was doomed from the start.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Decopierre is much better, as its really just a concrete screed which has moulds pressed against it. its french really and can look rather good.

this is not too bad as the house can take it visually

Only a real fan of Coronation Street would think to post a picture of Jack and Vera's house

Why does my laptop think I've moved to Devon? I keep getting random pop-ups of important news bulletins, like "Overturned lorry on M5", or "Exeter man falls out of tree".

On a similar but unrelated note, I tried (unsuccessfully) to bring my van clock into line with BST the other day, and the van thought it would be nice to start giving me unsolicited traffic announcements from BBC Radio Mersey.

I feel like unseen forces are running my life for me, and not in a good way.

Loads of them round here, two in the next street to me. I've never seen an example of it where it actually improved the look of the house. You can't imagine what people were thinking.

I remember it was touted as providing added insulation, which I guess is true and many liked the aesthetics (I didn't). A problem is that all those joints simply won't remain watertight and moisture gets trapped, leading to frost lifting the tiles loose eventually. This can also cause internal damp.
